For the third year, Auto Dealer Day is returning to the 2017 International Car Rental Show. This block of programming is designed specifically for auto dealers looking to improve their rental and loaner operations. Seminars will take place on Tuesday March 28 from 2 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Shawn Concannon of TSD Rental LLC will present a seminar entitled “Harnessing Metrics in Your Loaner and Rental Department.” He will discuss how dealers can capture, evaluate, and act on the metrics that can help the most in loaner and rental programs.

Angela Margolit and Robert Hano of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems will address the benefits of retail rentals in “Should Your Dealership Do Retail Rentals in Addition to the Courtesy Transportation Program?” This seminar will look at the tools available to handle the retail rental business, including website presence, online reservations, and DMS interfaces.

The final session will feature a panel of franchised auto dealers who will share their secrets on how they drove traffic into their dealerships and exposed their products to more consumers through their dealership’s car rental department. Moderated by Lori Tennant of MDL autoMation, panelists include Patricia Drago of Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc.; Chuck Myers of Anderson Automotive Group; Kevin Peck of Jim Norton Toyota; and Phil Spink of Tom Wood Rental, a Sixt franchisee.

Auto Dealer Day’s $250 discounted pass is only available for auto dealers. In addition to the Dealer Day sessions, the pass includes the International Car Rental Show keynote, exhibit hall access, lunch, and the evening reception in the exhibit hall.
