Avis Brings Vehicle Selection Service to 25 U.S. Airport Locations
Avis Preferred Select & Go is available at 25 airport locations in the U.S., with plans to extend to 50 locations by the end of the year.
Avis Preferred Select & Go, Avis Car Rental’s vehicle selection service, is now available at 25 airport locations in the United States, according to an announcement on Sept. 25.
The service is now offered at airport locations in Albuquerque, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago (O'Hare), Dallas (DFW), Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Houston (Bush Intercontinental and Hobby), Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Oakland, Orlando, Phoenix, Seattle, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose and St. Louis.
Select & Go allows Avis Preferred members to keep and drive away in their pre-assigned rental vehicle, exchange their car — at no additional charge — by selecting another one from the designated area or upgrade their vehicle for an additional charge by choosing a specialty car or SUV from the designated area.
By the end of 2012, Avis hopes to offer Select & Go at airport locations in Canada as well.
“We're pleased to deliver on this strategic initiative by introducing Select & Go service at the nation's top airport locations,” said Gina Bruzzichesi, Avis Budget Group senior VP of customer experience. “Avis Preferred members will enjoy the freedom to select the vehicle that's perfect for them.”
