Customers can shop online (www.avis.com or www.budget.com) and schedule their "ultimate test drive." These test drives are free for two hours or can be as long as three days for a nominal rental fee. Then if the customer decides to purchase the vehicle, the base rental fee will be refunded once the purchase is completed through AutoNation Direct.

"We remain committed to driving sustained profitable growth and that involves expanding programs to accommodate demand," said Tom Gartland, president, North America, Avis Budget Group. "We're excited to add Georgia and Illinois to the roster of states that offer Ultimate Test Drive and bring consumers there a convenient and stress-free way to purchase our high-quality vehicles."

Ultimate Test Drive is also available in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey and Texas. The program features more than 75 makes and models, including Ford, General Motors, Kia, Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen.
