PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Avis Rent A Car System this week unveiled new benefits for AARP members. Members can receive either a free tank of gas, a free upgrade or a $25 discount off a weekly rental in addition to Avis' AARP discount of up to 25% percent on car rentals.
The offer is good through Sept. 30.
"Mature travelers are one our largest customer segments," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for the Cendant Car Rental Group, the parent company of Avis.
Promotion codes and bonus savings cards can be found in the March/April issue of AARP The Magazine. To book a reservation, travelers can click on the Avis link at www.aarp.org/benefits-auto or call (800) 331-1800. AARP members can take advantage of the Avis discount by providing their Avis discount number at the time of booking.
