Avis: First Car Rental Company to Join Google Wallet App
By saving their Avis Wizard number through the Google Wallet mobile app, Avis Preferred customers can receive offers for rentals on their smartphone.
Avis Car Rental has joined with Google Wallet — making Avis the first car rental company to participate in this new application for mobile devices.
The Google Wallet app, available forAndroid and iPhone devices, allows users to save all their loyalty program information and offers in one place.
Starting today, customers can enroll in Avis Preferred’s express rental service and have their Avis Wizard number saved within the Google Wallet mobile app. By saving their Avis Wizard number, Avis Preferred members can receive offers for rentals directly through the Google Wallet app.
"Like Avis Preferred, Google Wallet saves people valuable time and provides them with added convenience," said Jeannine Haas, chief marketing officer, North America, Avis Budget Group. "This offering enables us to market our products and services to customers through a dynamic, emerging channel and thereby help to generate incremental bookings."
