PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- As students get back to the books this month, Avis Rent A Car System announced a new promotion with the Upromise college savings network. For cars rented from Jan. 9 through Feb. 12, Avis will contribute 10%of participating customers' rental purchases to their Upromise college savings accounts. For a limited period, the program doubles the standard 5% Avis contribution. Avis is the only car rental company affiliated with the Upromise network.
"By participating in Upromise, we're actively helping millions of Upromise members address an important goal while they rent from us -- affording college for their family," said Scott Deaver, executive vice president of marketing for Avis.
To receive the contribution from Avis, customers must use both the Upromise AWD number K563500 and the credit card registered with their Upromise account. Qualifying rentals in the United States and Canada are eligible for contributions. Customers using the Upromise AWD number are not eligible to receive additional rebates, including any corporate affiliated rates.
