Avis Rent A Car, a member of Avis Group Holdings, Inc. recently announced that it has added the Cadillac DeVille, equipped with the state-of-the-art OnStar service, to its fleet.
OnStar’s Premium Service, a standard feature in the DeVille, operates through a combination of cellular and Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite technologies that provide drivers with safety, security and convenience services.
OnStar advisors, avail-able 24 hours a day, seven days a week, have the ability to pinpoint the location of the vehicle and contact assistance if needed, or provide immediate trip routing.
Additionally, advisors can meet requests for services, such as booking airline tickets, making restaurant reservations or assisting customers in obtaining tickets to entertainment or sporting events.
The Cadillac DeVille with OnStar as a standard feature is being offered in Baltimore, Md., Boston, Mass., Charleston, N.C., Charlotte, N.C., Hartford, Conn., Philadelphia, Pa., Phoenix, Ariz., Raleigh, N.C. and Washington, D.C.
The vehicle is offered with OnStar in a limited number of vehicles in Albuquerque, N.M., Denver, Colo., Miami, Fla., Minneapolis, Minn., New Orleans, La., New York, N.Y., Pittsburgh, Pa., Portland, Ore., Salt Lake City, Utah and San Francisco, Calif.
