Avis South Africa Named Licensee of the Year by Avis Budget Group EMEA

Avis Budget Group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) selected Avis South Africa as the Licensee of the Year for its products and services available to customers and for responsible corporate citizenship.

Avis Budget Group Inc. announced Nov. 5 that it has named Avis South Africa as the Avis Licensee of the Year for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Avis South Africa was recognized for its ongoing commitment to providing customers with the most up-to-date products and services and for responsible corporate citizenship, according to the company.

Avis South Africa includes car, van and truck rentals, as well as coach charter services for groups at 20 airport locations and 130 downtown locations in Africa.

In addition to receiving the Licensee of the Year award, Avis South Africa has also been named the "Best Car Rental Company" at the BT Africa Business Travel Awards and earned first place in the car rental category at the South African Service Awards. The company also received the Sunday Times' Top Brands Award for the "Best Car Rental" for the ninth consecutive year and was selected as the "Best Fleet Management Company" in South Africa by the Professional Management Review for the fifth consecutive year.
