GARDEN CITY, N.J. -- When traveling to unfamiliar cities, members of Avis' Preferred Select program for frequent travelers can now rely on Avis' special Preferred Select Web site to get recommendations on everything from the best restaurants to the hottest shopping spots.

Avis has signed a partnership agreement with the 10Best Virtual Concierge service to provide the 10 best recommendations for dining, lodging, shopping, entertainment, recreation and other services in more than 270 destinations worldwide.

"The 10Best service, as well as the many other unique services provided on the Preferred Select Web site, will help these busy travelers reduce travel stress and make smart choices on the road," said Scott Deaver, Avis executive vice president of marketing.
