South Africa-based Bidvest Car Rental has introduced its Snappdrive app that allows users to handle the entire rental process on a smartphone.
South Africa-based Bidvest Car Rental has introduced its rental keyless car rental fleet with the launch of its Snappdrive app, according to a report by IT-Online.
The new app, designed to handle the entire car rental process via smartphones, will allow users to locate their car, unlock it, and start it.
Users will receive a text message before their rental is due, enabling the customer to extend their rental time if they want. Bidvest will be able to track every vehicle in the fleet with a telematics system, says the report.
The app will initially be available only to Bidvest Car Rental’s corporate customers and deployed in a separate vehicle group at the four major locations: O.R. Tambo, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, and King Shaka Airports, says the report.
Phase two will be introduced to premium vehicle groups and other markets, which is still yet to be announced.
