Bluebird and Ericom Software Partner to Provide Vehicle Rental Software
Ericom Software and Bluebird Auto Rental Systems join forces to deliver remote access to Bluebird’s RentWorks software.
Ericom Software — which provides application access, virtualization and RDP acceleration solutions — and Bluebird Auto Rental Systems announced a joint effort to deliver remote access to Bluebird’s RentWorks software.
Using Ericom AccessNow, an HTML5 remote desktop client, car rental companies can now use clientless, browser-based devices to manage their business and access the Web. Androids, iPads / iPhones, Google Chromebooks, PCs, Macs and any other device running Chrome, Firefox or Safari will function without having to install any software, according to Ericom.
To use AccessNow, the consumer only needs a Web-browser and Internet connection. After opening the web page, enter the address of the Ericom AccessNow Server, provide login credentials and hit ‘Connect.’ Then RentWorks appears directly inside the browser window.
Brian Berns, Ericom Software’s president and COO, said: “We are very excited to provide Bluebird’s customer base with a remote access solution that runs out-of-the-box, without requiring any customization, installation or configuration on the end-user device.”
“Ericom’s innovative AccessNow enhances our customers’ productivity and efficiency by providing them with fast, easy and cost-effective access to RentWorks,” added Angela Margolit, president of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems.
