BlueIndy to Hold Grand-Opening Ceremony
The electric carsharing company BlueIndy is set to launch on Sept. 2, with vehicles available at 25 charging stations throughout the city of Indianapolis.

The all-electric carsharing service BlueIndy is set to launch in early September, according to a report by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
BlueIndy's grand-opening ceremony is set for Tuesday Sept. 2 at 11 a.m. Mayor Greg Ballard and Cedric Bollore of the Bollore Group are scheduled to attend. The BlueIndy vehicles (Bluecars) will be available at 25 of the charging stations throughout the city of Indianapolis, according to the report.
France-based Bollore Group has run a carsharing program in Paris since 2011 and opened one in London. BlueIndy will be Bollore’s first electric carsharing program in the United States.
BlueIndy hopes to eventually open 250 carsharing sites throughout the city of Indianapolis, according to the report.
