Breeze Ends Leasing Vehicle Service
Breeze, a startup that leases cars to drivers for Uber, Lyft, and delivery services, has ended its services. It plans to license out its fleet management software to other companies.
Breeze, a startup that leases cars to drivers for Uber, Lyft, and delivery services, has ended its services, according to a report by Fortune.
Starting in San Francisco, Breeze expanded to a total of six U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Boston. The business model was to lease out vehicles by the week to people who work for ride-hailing or delivery services like Instacart.
“Due to recent business developments and broader market trends, we at Breeze have made the difficult decision to suspend our car leasing program,” according to a message on its website.
The company is no longer accepting new customers, but current ones will remain unaffected.
Breeze will now focus on its fleet management software and plans to license it out to other companies, according to the report.
