PARSIPPANY, N.J. -- Budget Rent A Car System Inc. said it has completed its upgrade on the Amadeus Global Distribution System to provide travel agents with real-time access to its reservation system.

With the addition of Amadeus, Budget now provides a seamless, transparent interface to all four major global distribution systems. The upgrade to "Complete Access Plus" allows travel agents to access real-time inventory of vehicles and rates. In addition, agents can now:

*Display corporate, association and promotional rates and compare them;

*View customer requests, and confirm child safety seats, one-way rates, and drop-off charges if applicable;

*Provide their customers with a complete price that includes tax, surcharge and regulation information;

*Instantly verify any modifications made to a booking;

*View instant rate changes or new confirmation numbers.

"The upgrade to Complete Access Plus allows us to better serve the travel agent community," said Gerard Quirk, Cendant Car Rental Group's vice president for the global travel industry. "It also provides them with a way to better serve their own customers."

Cendant is Budget's parent company.
