Budget Car Rental Turkey was named Budget’s Licensee of the Year for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA).
Held this year at a gala event in Istanbul, Budget Turkey received the honor at the annual Budget Car Rental EMEA Licensee Awards.
"Budget Turkey has sustained a remarkable growth trajectory in the last two years," said Larry De Shon, president, EMEA, Avis Budget Group. "Demonstrating a dramatic increase in revenue, Budget Turkey has grown to become the second-largest car hire company in the country. The launch of seven additional Budget Turkey locations nationwide and plans to further grow the business especially impressed the judges, as did the team's exceptional quality of service."
The Budget Car Rental Licensee Awards recognize licensee partners who have demonstrated growth in annual financial performance, measured against their local country economic conditions, according to the company.
The judging panel also presented Budget Car Rental Kuwait and Budget Car Rental Jordan with Outstanding Achievement awards for 2014, which honor outstanding customer service performance and strong delivery of strategic initiatives.
Since 2007, Budget Car Rental Turkey has been operated by Otokoc Automotive Inc., which now runs rental locations in more than 30 cities throughout the country, including airport locations in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara, according to the company.
