Car Rental Companies Targeted by Arsonists
Two Montreal rental companies have experienced arson attacks this month.
The Montreal Gazette reported that an arson attack took place early yesterday morning at an Avis Rent-A-Car in Montreal’s St. Leonard region. Someone threw a Molotov cocktail, but it hit the sidewalk and failed to break the front window.
Montreal Police Officer Daniel Lacoursiere said that the attack didn’t cause any property damage, according to the Montreal Gazette report.
The same Avis location was targeted with a fireball on May 10 and resulted in a broken window. And according to the Montreal Gazette, a Discount rental company down the street was also hit by two Molotov-type objects – one damaged a rental truck and the other went through a window.
