car2go N.A. LLC has announced the appointments of Daniel Florence as chief operating officer and Amber Quist as chief marketing officer. Both Florence and Quist will report to Paul DeLong, car2go North America's president and CEO.
"Daniel and Amber have built an impressive track record of strategic brand and operational accomplishments that will be a valuable asset as we accelerate our growth as the North American market leader for one-way carsharing," said DeLong. "Danny, Amber and our entire leadership team share a passion for car2go, which is reflective of our culture. I look forward to working with this team to continue delivering an outstanding car2go experience for our members across the U.S. and Canada."
As chief of operations, Florence will lead the company's operating business across the U.S. and Canada, as well as business development opportunities and new product development and integration, according to the company.
Prior to joining car2go, Florence served as vice president of Florida Airport Operations at Hertz in Fort Lauderdale, overseeing Florida Airport Zone operations. He also held various leadership roles at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group for 19 years.
"car2go's growth strategy has never been more compelling," said Florence. "It is a privilege to step into this role, and I look forward to working closely with DeLong and the talented leadership team to propel the company to its next phase of operational excellence."

As chief marketing officer, Quist will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of integrated marketing and brand building for car2go in North America, including brand management, member experience and consumer insights.
Quist recently served as vice president of brand marketing and communications at Spredfast, a social media marketing platform in Austin, where she was responsible for leading the strategy and execution of brand development and corporate communications. Prior to this role, she held various marketing leadership roles at Mass Relevance, Bazaarvoice and Nike Inc.
"I've learned in my career, great brands are inventing new categories and adding purpose to the consumer experience,” said Quist. “car2go is doing just that. Naturally, I am excited to join this great team and continue to build this brand and deliver innovative mobility solutions to our members."
car2go has more than 500,000 members across the U.S. and Canada with access to over 7,000 vehicles, according to the company.
