In car2go’s first year of business, more than 19,000 people registered as members and the company added 150 vehicles for a total of 350 smart fortwo vehicles available for customers.
car2go also announced a new partnership with D.C.-based myTaxi, a taxi booking and payment app, allowing car2go members to search for available car2gos or locate a taxi on the same app.
“Through innovative technology and a strong commitment to car sharing, car2go members have transformed the way they move around Washington, D.C. in just one year,” said Nicholas Cole, president and CEO of car2go North America. “The integration of myTaxi in the car2go app is the first step in enhancing the on-demand experience and offering a new dimension of mobility to our car2go members in the District.”
