With car2go’s year-long pilot ending in Columbus, Ohio, the city has introduced new regulations for the car-sharing company to continue its service, according to a report by The Columbus Dispatch. The new rules went into effect on Oct. 31.
Under the new rules, car2go must purchase $150 parking permits — an increase of more than $50 compared to last year, says the report. car2go spent $52,500 on parking permits for 350 vehicles. And there is a cap on the number of car2go vehicles that can be parked in Columbus.
