car2go has announced that its membership in Seattle has surpassed the 100,000 member milestone. This milestone comes five years after its launch on December 19, 2012.
To celebrate this milestone, car2go will reimburse members who take ferry rides with a Mercedes-Benz car2go throughout Labor Day weekend — up to $50. New members can also register for free at car2go.com using promotional code SEA100Kand receive $10 in drive credit.
"This is an exciting day for Seattle," said Michael Hoitink, car2go Seattle general manager. "We are so proud to be Seattle's top one-way carshare service, and the growth car2go has seen here really emphasizes how forward-thinking Seattleites are. Seattleites have never been afraid to break tradition and try something new in pursuit of progress, and they're showing that in the way they choose to travel."
From Friday Sept. 1 through Monday Sept. 4, car2go is offering its members up to $50 in reimbursed ferry rides if they use a Mercedes-Benz car2go vehicle. Members need to take a picture of their ferry receipt and send it to car2go via the ferry reimbursement form.
