CarTrawler, an online global car rental platform, has been named as a rental partner with Poland’s LOT Polish Airlines. This new partnership will provide LOT customers with a connection to over 1,300 car rental agents in over 30,000 airport and city locations across 174 different countries.

Currently, LOT Polish Airlines serves over 40 destinations, including Western Europe, North America and Asia. LOT is a member of Star Alliance since 2003, whose network currently offers more than 21,900 daily flights to 1,328 airports in 195 countries all over the world, says the company.

“A partnership between global brands such as LOT and CarTrawler is strategically key to enable us to offer our customers the opportunity to tailor their travel to their specific needs,” said Magali Olive, LOT executive director ancillary revenue and loyalty programs. “Introducing a car rental proposition is for LOT another step towards becoming a one-stop shop offering the right product and service at the right time in a simple way, so our customers travel experience can be fully personalised and enhanced.”

Based in Dublin, Ireland, CarTrawler has been providing online car rental and customer support to thousands of travel brands, including more than 65 international airlines, since 2004.

“With global estimates for airline ancillary revenue valued at $49.9 billion in 2014, there is no doubt about the commercial importance that car rental presents,” said Michael Cunningham, CarTrawler’s chief commercial officer. “Airlines that build their customer offering around passenger needs and preferences will not only grow their ancillary revenue but increase customer loyalty. CarTrawler’s scientific approach to anticipating passenger needs will help to maximise the full potential of LOT’s car rental program across their entire route network.”
