Alamo Rent A Car, the largest car rental provider to international customers visiting North America, announced the opening of a new branch serving customers at the Newark Liberty International Airport. The new branch will be the first Alamo location serving a New York City area airport in nearly 10 years.

The new Alamo branch is located near the airport at 162 US Highway 1&9 in Newark, N.J. Customers must load a monorail near baggage claim and take it to the bus station, where an Alamo shuttle will drive them directly to the Alamo location.

"We are pleased to be offering Alamo's low rental rates and convenient services to travelers arriving in the New Jersey and New York City areas from all over the world," said Jason Altman, VP of airports for Alamo Rent A Car in New York and New Jersey.

Alamo Rent A Car recently launched Alamo Insiders, a free online membership program offering exclusive member-only deals or a 10% member discount off retail rates when vehicles are rented through www.alamo.com. When a promotional rate is available that surpasses the 10% off retail rates, customers will automatically receive the best available rate. Customers can join the Alamo Insiders through the Alamo website.

"The new Alamo Insiders program offers us the opportunity to provide customers with exclusive discounts and offers through a simple-to-use online process," said Susan Madigan, brand director for Alamo Rent A Car. "Our customers immediately go to Alamo when looking for the lowest rates, speedy service and a hassle-free rental car experience."
