Canadian-based Discount Car and Truck Rentals has recently partnered with Petro-Canada gas stations and its Petro-Points customer loyalty program. This partnership enables Discount customers to earn and redeem Petro-Points with each rental.

Discount customers can collect 10 points for every $1 spent on vehicle rentals, according to the company. Additionally, customers will be able to redeem 12,000 points for $10 off their rental. Petro-Points members will also benefit from Discount's free drop-off and pick-up service.

"Partnerships are what make the Petro-Points loyalty program unique and we believe we have found a great partner in Discount," said Louis Cote, director, loyalty and strategic partnerships for Suncor Energy, the owner of Petro-Canada."By adding Discount as a Petro-Points partner, we are able to offer our customers more places to earn points and more choice in rewards."

By presenting their Petro-Points card at participating Discount Car and Truck Rentals locations across Canada, customers can earn and redeem Petro-Points.

“There is a natural fit between Discount and Petro-Points because almost all of our customers own their own vehicles,” said Jay Singer, president and CEO of Discount Car and Truck Rentals. “Now they can turn their car rental expenditures with Discount into everyday rewards.”
