Do You Know the Critical Components to Loss-of-Use Recovery?
This Car Rental Show seminar will give car rental agencies hands-on tools to recover for lost use of a damaged vehicle.
"Loss of use" is a little known but established property right that the courts enforce. But what does it mean to the car rental industry? Why are insurance companies fighting it while simultaneously selling products that cover it?
At the 2014 Car Rental Show, the seminar “Critical Components to Loss-of-Use Recovery” will take attendees on a deep dive into the nuances of loss-of-use recovery while teaching practical, everyday steps that car rental agencies can use to document, claim and recover for lost use of a damaged vehicle.
This interactive seminar will be led by David Purinton, who championed the outcome in the landmark loss-of-use case Koenig v. PurCo, and Steve Christiansen, lead counsel for PurCo on the case.
“This is a Car Rental Show first,” says Chris Brown, executive editor of Auto Rental News. “While Dave Purinton has explained loss of use and the Koenig case at previous shows, this seminar will give attendees the tools to win the loss-of-use battle in the trenches. What’s more, attendees will get the exclusive perspective of Steve Christiansen, the legal mind behind the team that won the seven-year Koenig battle.”
This concurrent session will be held on Tuesday April 8 at 9:40 a.m. The 2014 Car Rental Show takes place April 7-8, 2014 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Visit www.carrentalshow.com for more information.
