Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc. has cut back on the number of management executives by 10 percent, Knight-Ridder/Tribune Business News reports, expanding the "span of control" of CEO Gary L. Paxton.
While cutting the number of executives, the changes will increase the number of executives who report directly to Paxton. The company also created an Office of Strategy Management to assure "alignment of all corporate initiatives," which also reports to Paxton, according to Knight-Ridder/Tribune Business News.
