Dollar, Thrifty Offering Handicap-accessible Minivans in Central Texas
Dollar and Thrifty recently began offering fully-equipped handicap-accessible minivans through locations in Austin, Texas and Killeen-Fort Hood, Texas.
Dollar Rent a Car and Thrifty Car Rental recently expanded their rental offerings in Central Texas to include minivans that will fully meet the transportation needs of physically-challenged customers. Through the franchise in both the Austin and Killeen-Fort Hood airport locations, Dollar and Thrifty continue to be on the forefront of the U.S. car rental industry in offering the convenient rental of fully-equipped handicap-accessible minivans.
The Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Killeen-Fort Hood Regional Airport (GRK) Dollar and Thrifty locations now have 2011 model year Chrysler Town & Country handicap-accessible minivans available. Each van is equipped with wheelchair ramps, drop down service for ground-level access, hand controls, removable seats for accessible driving with a wheel chair and all other options that will meet the requirements of drivers with a physical handicap.
"Over the years we have received many requests for these types of vehicles and are now proud to make the rental experience at our locations much friendlier to the needs of physically-challenged customers," according to Monty Merrill, owner of the Austin and Killeen-Fort Hood locations. "We are thrilled to extend our services to meet all varieties of our budget-conscious customers' needs, including those requiring handicap-accessible transportation."
"The new minivans in our Austin and Killeen-Fort Hood fleets will provide maximum comfort and complete ease-of-use while continuing to afford the ultimate value for customers that the Dollar and Thrifty brands consistently provide," according to Merrill. "The 2011 Town & Country vans now available include all features needed to make it fully equipped and user-friendly for customers with a physical handicap."
