TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group reported a net loss of $13.8 million, or 57 cents per share, for the fourth quarter of 2001. In comparison, the company posted net earnings of $6 million, or 24 cents per share, for the fourth quarter in 2000.
Total revenue for the fourth quarter was $195.6 million -- down 18.3% compared to the same period in 2000.
Total revenue for the year 2001 was $1.02 billion, compared to $1.08 in 2000. Net income for 2001 was $13.8 million, or 57 cents a share, down from $78 million, or $3.18 per share, for 2000.
LOR overall continues to trend downward, but ongoing market and economic conditions could affect future results while the industry deals with staffing and productivity challenges.
