DTG Promotes Adams, Bowen, Duffy, Regan, Adamo

TULSA, Okla. -- Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group has promoted Tom Adams from regional staff vice president to DTG vice president of operations for the Florida Region.

Adams joined Dollar Rent A Car in 1988 as general manager of Southern California corporate locations. In 1991, he was named director of U.S. corporate operations. He was promoted to his most recent position, regional staff vice president of operations for the Florida Region, in 2002. Before joining Dollar, Adams held various management positions at Hertz.

Adams is based at the company's Florida operations office in Tampa.

DTG has promoted Jim Bowen from regional staff vice president to DTG vice president of operations for the Pacific Region. Bowen is an 18-year veteran of the car rental industry. He joined DTG in 1999 as regional staff vice president of operations in Hawaii.

Before joining DTG, Bowen served in several management positions with Alamo Rent A Car, including vice president of operations for the Central Division. He is based at DTG's Pacific Region office in Honolulu.

Jim Duffy has been promoted from regional staff vice president to DTG vice president of operations for the East Region. Duffy has more than 30 years of experience in the car rental industry. He began his career with National Car Rental in 1973. He joined DTG in 1996 as regional staff vice president of operations for the East Region. He is based at the company's East Region office in Southlake, Texas.

Dan Regan has been promoted from regional staff vice president to DTG vice president of operations for the West Region. Regan is also a seasoned car rental industry professional. He joined the Hertz Corp. in 1986. In 1989, Regan joined National Car Rental, where he managed the company's West Region operations and later was director of revenue management. Regan joined DTG in 1995 as regional staff vice president of operations for the Pacific Region.

Regan was named to his most recent position of regional staff vice president of operations for the West Region in 1999. He is based at the company's West Region office in Los Angeles.

Joseph Adamo has been named regional staff vice president for Canadian operations. An employee of DTG Canada since 1999, Adamo previously served as chief financial officer. Adamo is based at the company's Canadian headquarters in Toronto.

Adams, Bowen, Duffy, Regan and Adamo will all report directly to Jay Foley, DTG senior executive vice president of corporate operations.

"Tom Adams, Jim Bowen, Jim Duffy and Dan Regan have been instrumental in the rapid growth of the Dollar and Thrifty brands through acquiring licensees, opening new territories and fostering growth in existing operations," Foley said. "The revenues for which they are responsible have doubled since 1999."

Foley also credited Joseph Adamo with playing a "strategic role during the recent process to improve the company's Canadian operations."

In addition, DTG promoted Pam Peck to vice president and treasurer. Peck joined Thrifty Car Rental in 1995 as assistant treasurer. She became staff vice president and treasurer in 1996. She was named DTG treasurer in 1998.

Peck is based at the company's worldwide headquarters in Tulsa and will continue to report to DTG CFO Steve Hildebrand.

"Pam has done an excellent job leading our treasury function and has significantly expanded our financing programs to support the company's strategy and growth on a very efficient and competitive basis," Hildebrand said.
