Enterprise Holdings, has more than tripled its car hire capacity at Manchester Airport with a move to a new, larger location at the airport’s car rental village.
As a result, Enterprise has created eight new jobs at the site, including a new branch manager, five graduate management trainees, and two customer service representatives, all recruited locally, with more growth anticipated for the future.
The expansion follows several years of double-digit growth in demand from both business and holiday renters through the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. Customers will now be able to access a wider range of vehicles than ever before, from smaller hatchbacks to larger saloons, executive cars, people carriers, and premium vehicles.
Manchester Airport is a major hub for travelers coming to the U.K. from the U.S., Australia, and Europe, and is expecting further growth in passenger volumes. Over the past two years, Enterprise has rented vehicles to customers originating from more than 150 different countries, including Nepal, Yemen, and Vanuatu.
People renting vehicles from Enterprise in Manchester travel widely, and on average drive approximately 260 miles from the branch as they visit areas in the North West of England and beyond.
The expanded site at the rental village can easily be reached via a free shuttlebus from the airport, allowing Emerald Club members who rent with the National Car Rental brand to benefit from priority service. Members can bypass the rental counter and go directly to the cabin in the car park where they will receive expedited service and get on their way.
