To help Flint residents get access to clean drinking water, Enterprise Rent-A-Car locations and Allstate Insurance owners across Michigan are partnering to deliver bottled water.
Participating Allstate Agencies are accepting donations of bottled water, and Enterprise Rent-A-Car employees are picking up the donations and shuttling them to local rental branches in Flint, according to the company.
A volunteer effort, led by the Legacy Group Water Project, is distributing the donated water to those in need in coordination with the State Emergency Operations Center in Flint. Enterprise locations across the state will also accept donations of water.
"With 142 fully staffed neighborhood and airport branch offices in Michigan alone, Enterprise is fully integrated within the communities where it operates," said Tom Cosgrove, an Enterprise rental manager. "Participating in this effort allows us to serve our neighbors, business partners and customers in the community of Flint."
