Enterprise Launches QR Codes and ‘ONRAMP Concierge’ Mobile Site
The ‘ONRAMP Concierge’ program will provide customers with vehicle information, deals and local resources through a Quick Response (QR) code in the rental vehicle that goes to its mobile-optimized website.
Enterprise Holdings launched a new mobile-optimized website called “ONRAMP Concierge” that gives rental customers access to a virtual travel guide as well as information about their rental vehicle’s make and model, special company offers and nearby resources such as gas stations or restaurants, according to a company announcement on Oct. 23.
Enterprise said that one million of the company’s rental vehicles from Alamo Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and National Car Rental will be equipped with Quick Response (QR) codes by December for quick smartphone access to the site, which is located at www.onramp.ehi.com.
“Each car rental experience not only will provide access to ONRAMP Concierge conveniences, but also is an opportunity for our manufacturing partners to showcase their products and services,” said Kurt Kohler, senior VP of fleet for Enterprise Holdings. “This is an ideal platform to familiarize our customers with the vehicles they are renting and enable them to connect with our manufacturer and dealer partners.”
Enterprise said it is launching the program after a successful year-long run of putting QR codes in select vehicles back in November 2011.
