Enterprise Names Michael Bystrom VP of Remarketing Operations

In his new role, Bystrom will oversee the remarketing function for the company's North American operations, including daily rental, fleet management and commercial truck.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car has named Michael V. Bystrom vice president of remarketing operations-North America. In his new role, Bystrom will oversee the remarketing function for the company’s North American operations, including daily rental, fleet management and commercial truck.

“The automotive landscape continues to evolve and have a direct impact on the remarketing industry,” Bystrom said. “At Enterprise, we remain focused on strengthening our existing business partnerships as well as developing new ones to satisfy our customers’ needs.”

Bystrom began his career with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the company’s daily rental division in Chicago in 1991. Remaining in Chicago, he joined the company’s remarketing team and in 1994 became the remarketing manager of the upstate New York operation in Rochester, NY. In 1997, he was promoted to manage the territory that included the New York metropolitan area, Albany, southern Connecticut, and central/northern New Jersey.

Bystrom moved to Enterprise headquarters in St. Louis as a corporate remarketing manager for the company’s north central operations in 2002. In 2004, he was promoted to assistant vice president of remarketing, overseeing the same north central operations.

Bystrom holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Illinois State University. He is married with three children.
