ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Enterprise Rent-A-Car has announced a special rate for families and individuals renting cars and traveling for weekend getaways. Starting from $9.99 per day, the offer runs through May 24, 2011, at participating neighborhood locations.

"For fall weekend driving vacations, Enterprise is offering our customers an opportunity to rent vehicles at a reduced price for weekend travel," said Steve Short, vice president of leisure business development for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. "Weekends are short, and we want to help travelers make the most of their trips. An Enterprise employee will pick up you and your suitcase at your home and take you directly to your rental car."

Enterprise renters can enjoy weekend rates of $9.99 per day on economy and compact cars when renting Friday through Monday at the majority of the more than 5,000 Enterprise neighborhood locations in the U.S. The rate includes 100 free miles a day. Similar savings are available on larger vehicles, and unlimited mileage packages are also available at most locations. The program excludes airport locations.

Short added, "Autumn weekend driving vacations are popular because of the milder weather, colorful scenery, and fall festivals. We aim to make it easy for cost-conscious motorists to enjoy a comfortable drive while saving mileage on their own vehicles throughout the fall months."
