Enterprise has opened its second Glasgow city center branch in Tradeston to provide a wide range of transport options to the local community — including car club vehicles that are available to rent 24/7, 365 days a year.

Enterprise is immediately creating six new jobs at the location, including four graduate positions of its Management Training Programme. The Tradeston branch will provide a variety of cars and vans to the local community to meet all mobility requirements, whether it’s a vehicle for business or personal use, by the hour, day, week or longer term.

Four Enterprise Car Club vehicles — two vans and two low-emission hybrid cars — will be permanently located at the new branch to provide round-the-clock automated access to vehicles. By sharing access to Enterprise’s wide range of low-emission vehicles, local businesses and residents can use a vehicle as and when they need it while reducing emissions in the city center.

Located within walking distance of the existing Enterprise city center branch on Oswald Street, the new Tradeston branch is next to the subway station, a prime location to meet increasing demand for integrated transport solutions in Glasgow.

The Enterprise Car Club vehicles located there will also offer a wider range of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) transport options to the local community, as customers will be able to easily combine road journeys with the subway and other forms of public transport.

In addition to the four cars now located at Enterprise’s Tradeston branch, membership to Enterprise Car Club allows access to a growing network of 1,100 on-street vehicles available for rent 24/7, 365 days of the year, in more than 170 cities, towns and communities across the U.K. Many Enterprise Car Club vehicles are located at transport hubs or railway stations to make it easier to travel around the U.K. using public transport.
