Enterprise Rent-A-Car has launched Motorcycle Rental by Enterprise at a new rental location in Las Vegas. With a fleet that will initially consist solely of Harley-Davidson-branded motorcycles, the branch is the first of its kind in the U.S. among all major rental car companies.

Enterprise created this one-of-a-kind branch in response to strong consumer demand in the motorcycle market, says the company. Last year alone, more than 450,000 motorcycles were purchased in the United States, an increase of nearly 3% from 2011, according to the Motorcycle Industry Council.

“Motorcycle enthusiasts are passionate about riding, and we heard from many customers who wanted to enjoy high-quality bikes, even when they’re away from home,” said Steve Short, vice president of Enterprise Rent-A-Car. “Motorcycle Rental by Enterprise renters will be able to choose from a wide selection of popular bikes and can expect the same, first-rate customer service they experience at our other Enterprise branches around the country.”

According to Enterprise, customers can currently rent five different varieties of Harley-Davidson motorcycles — two additional styles of Harley motorcycles will be added to the Las Vegas fleet by the end of November. Specific motorcycles available for rent include Street Glide, Road Glide Custom, Electra Glide Classic, Road Glide Ultra and Electra Glide Ultra Limited.

All motorcycle renters must carry a valid motorcycle license. Enterprise will provide motorcycle renters with helmets free of charge as Nevada state law requires that all motorcycle riders wear helmets, says the company.
