Enterprise Plants Trees at Flight 93 Memorial for Arbor Day
To celebrate Arbor Day and continue its 50 Million Tree Pledge, Enterprise donated 30,000 trees to plant at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania on April 19-20.

In honor of Arbor Day and Enterprise’s 50 Million Tree Pledge, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the Arbor Day Foundation organized the “Plant a Tree at Flight 93” event, which took place April 19-20 at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pa.
The Enterprise Foundation donated 30,000 trees to help reforest 23 acres of land in a new 2,200-acre national memorial dedicated to the victims of Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001.
The plantings are part of 1 million trees being planted this year as part of Enterprise’s 50 Million Tree Pledge, a 50-year and $50 million commitment to plant 50 million trees in state parks and state and national forests throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. This is the eighth year of Enterprise’s pledge.
Each year, Enterprise works with the Arbor Day Foundation, the U.S. Forest Service, the National Association of State Foresters, and the National Association of State Park Directors to execute projects that will address reforestation needs.

-50,000 trees in Cuyumaca Rancho State Park, California
-25,000 trees in Pike & San Isabel National Forests, Colorado

More than 7 million trees planted through the program’s first seven years are already growing in forests in Alabama, California, Colorado, Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, South Dakota, Canada, Germany, the U.K. and Scotland.
“We are always looking for more sustainable ways to do business and support the communities we serve,” said Lee Broughton, Enterprise head of sustainability. “By planting these trees, we are restoring and rejuvenating natural spaces that people can enjoy for generations to come.”
