Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to the summer travel season, and this year, the forecast is sunny -- at least when it comes to driving vacations. "It's encouraging to see Americans planning getaways this summer," said Steve Short, vice president of leisure business development for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. "The significant increase in our holiday weekend reservations shows that the road trip is alive and well."
