Enterprise to Cut Jobs, Move to Car Rental Facility at Tampa Airport
The layoffs will affect service agents and bus drivers, and will coincide with the company’s move to a consolidated car rental facility at Tampa International Airport, according to an Enterprise Holdings spokeswoman.
The Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida LLC, a Tampa, Fla.-based subsidiary for National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car, plans to lay off 67 employees on Oct. 1, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
The layoffs will affect service agents and bus drivers, and will coincide with the company's move to a consolidated car rental facility at Tampa International Airport, said Christy Conrad, spokeswoman for Enterprise Holdings Inc., corporate parent of National Car Rental, Alamo Car Rent A Car, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and WeCar.
Enterprise Leasing Co. is located at 5311 Airport Service Road.
Affected employees will receive severance, letters of recommendation and 60 days notice, Conrad said. These employees also will be eligible for rehire for positions opening up, she said.
Enterprise Holdings is headquartered in St. Louis.
