Europcar Appoints New Head of Innovation
Alba Fernandez joined the Group in 2017 as product innovation manager in the Mobility Lab, working on different key projects such as vehicle-sharing and Mobility-as-a-Service.

Reporting to Aurélia Cheval, chief strategy officer of Europcar Mobility Group, Fernandez's mission will be to support the Group in its transformation and the acceleration of the Shift 2023 roadmap.

As part of the implementation of its Shift 2023 strategic roadmap, Europcar Mobility Group's Mobility Lab joins the Group’s Innovation Department. In this context, Alba Fernandez is appointed as Group Head of Innovation.
Reporting to Aurélia Cheval, chief strategy officer of Europcar Mobility Group, Fernandez's mission will be to support the Group in its transformation and the acceleration of the Shift 2023 roadmap. Fernandez and her team will use agile methodology to put incremental and adjacent innovation, at the service of the Group’s daily activities and operations, contributing to strategic initiatives such as the digitalization of the customer journey, the digitalization of its network of 2,000 stations, as well as the “Connected Fleet” program.
The Innovation Department will also support all Group functions in their assignments. Fernandez, seconded by a team of innovation project managers, will benefit from the Group’s partnership with Plug&Play, with 26 locations and more than 10,000 startups launched since 2006.
Fernandez joined the Group in 2017 as product innovation manager in the Mobility Lab, working on different key projects such as vehicle-sharing and Mobility-as-a-Service. In her new position, she will bring her start-up and innovation expertise, balanced with her experience and knowledge of the Group.
