Europcar Extends Electric Car Rentals to Scotland
The car rental company opened a new all-electric car rental location in Glascow.
Motorists in Glascow, Scotland are invited to test drive the Peugeot iOn electric car as part of Europcar’s opening of its new all-electric car rental location.
In efforts to promote electric vehicles throughout Scotland, Europcar is giving customers the chance to “try before they buy” the Peugeot iOn.
Every customer who rents a Peugeot iOn vehicle will be given a full run-down on all the workings of the car by a representative who has already been trained on the vehicle. Additionally, Europcar will recharge the vehicle for free, even waiving the standard service fee usually made for vehicle refueling.
“Giving motorists the chance to find out more about electric themselves, our new Glasgow Central location features six charging car park spaces, with car rental of the Peugeot iOn,” said Europcar Managing Director Ken McCall. “We think this is the perfect time for motorists to test out the new technology and we are delighted to be part of Glasgow’s effort to promote greener technology, which fits perfectly with our own philosophy of pioneering sustainable car rental solutions.”
