Getaround has launched its carsharing service in Washington, D.C., marking the first East Coast market for the company.
According to the company’s blog, it launched in Washington, D.C. because the city is a major player in the sharing economy with one of the country’s largest bike-share programs.
At the time of launch, Getaround said 40 cars are available in Logan Circle and Navy Yard for customers to use.
