Getaround Launches New iPhone App
The app’s new features include instantaneous renting, browsing and filter capabilities in addition to a new design to help users share cars more easily.
Getaround introduced a new iPhone app on Feb. 28 that allows users to share cars with people nearby through new features and improvements.
New features include the ability to search and browse cars without signing in, new filter options to find the right car, a redesigned map view and the ability to instantly rent cars.
The car sharing company also redesigned visual aspects and the Application Program Interface (API) to make the app faster and more reliable.
The new app is part of the company's plan to make car sharing a widespread behavior amongst drivers.
To celebrate the new app, two Getaround owners listed their 2012 Tesla Model S' on the site.
