Google Now, a notification app for Android smartphones and tablets, has added new travel and entertainment features to its search service, including an alert for car rental.
Google Now, a notification app in Android smartphones and tablets, has added new travel and entertainment features to its search service, including an alert for car rental.
“From traveling to entertainment, breaking news and sports scores, the latest card additions to Google Now give you even more information without ever having to ask,” Google stated on Android’s Google+ page. “You can now find cards for car rentals, concert tickets, commute sharing, NCAA football and additional reminders.”
With the car rentals card (or alert), Android users can obtain reservation details and directions to the car rental facility while using the Google Now app.
Google Now’s other card features include reminders for new music albums or movie releases, real-time scores for NCAA football games and updates on the times for public buses and trains.
These updates are available on the newest Google Search app for Android 4.1+, according to Android’s Google+ page.
