Environmentally-focused car rental company Green Motion continues its expansion in Europe by opening a franchise in Sweden.
The Swedish franchise was acquired by a local entrepreneur, Anders Jutemyr, who currently operates an independent brand.
Jutemyr acquired the rights for Green Motion in order for him to pursue his objective of fully developing the country with the support of an international brand.
The first Green Motion location will open in July at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport — with further locations to be announced.
"This is another big step for the Green Motion brand with us adding our first country in Scandinavia,” said Richard Lowden, founder and CEO of Green Motion. “The introduction of Sweden brings Green Motion's operational presence to 30 countries around the world."
