International car rental brand, Green Motion, received the Green World Environment Award in Dubai. Green Motion competed against about 500 other nominations in the Green World Awards for Environmental Best Practice, and were invited to become Green World ambassadors and have their winning paper published in The Green Book, the international work of reference on environmental best practice.
"We are thrilled to once again be presented with a Green World Award recognising our brand's continued efforts to support the environment," said Green Motion founder & CEO Richard Lowden. "My special thanks to the Green Motion franchise team in the United Arab Emirates lead by Mohamed Al Rais and Ahmad Sultan who collected this prestigious award on behalf of our entire network."
The Green World Awards are organized by The Green Organisation, an environment group that began in 1994, dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. They are supported by the Environment Agency, the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, the Chartered Institution for Wastes Management, and other independent bodies.
