Green Motion to Operate Under Local Car and Van Rental Limited in UK
In a new acquisition, Local Car and Van Rental Limited (LCRV) will operate the Green Motion UK Master Franchise via its subsidiary company Green Motion Car and Van Rental Limited.

Green Motion announced the successful acquisition of its UK and Northern Ireland Master UK Franchise that now operates under Local Car and Van Rental Limited (LCVR), according to an announcement made by Green Motion Founder and Chairman Richard Lowden on Sept. 5.
LCVR, which has a fleet of more than 1,800 vehicles via a licensee network of more than 100 branches, will operate the Green Motion UK Master Franchise through its subsidiary company Green Motion Car and Van Rental Limited.
“Green Motion here in the United Kingdom is of great strategic importance and I’m delighted that John Ryan and his highly experienced management team have taken on the reins of the onward operation of the Green Motion network here in the UK,” Lowden said.
Lowden and the Green Motion international management team plan to continue to focus on the onward development of the Green Motion brand worldwide, adding further countries to the existing international network of Mexico, Malta, the Netherlands and Italy.
“I’m supported by a superb management team, many of whom worked with me during my time at Thrifty Car Rental, and as such have a vast array of relevant experience,” said Ryan, who is now chairman of the UK Master Country Franchise.

Adrian Woods as managing director — Adrian brings more than 40 years of experience in the vehicle rental industry, having successfully run his own vehicle rental company “Woods Car Rental,” which built up its fleet prior to its sale to Budget Rent A Car.
Sian Marston as operations director — Sian has 27 years of rental experience, 11 years with Budget Rent A Car and 16 years working at a senior level within Thrifty, and also operated her own Thrifty Car Rental Franchise.
