The Kahlului Airport in Hawaii announced plans to move its rental car area into a new structure with funds the governor released, according to the Maui News on March 3.
The facility will house all rental agencies in one structure. It's currently in the design phase, but construction is expected to begin early 2014 and finish by 2015, according to Department of Transportation Spokeswoman Caroline Sluyter.
Gov. Neil Abercrombie released $160,000 for the development of plans and studies for car rental facilities in the state.
