Hertz 24/7 Begins Van Share Partnership with UK Costco
Under a new agreement, Hertz 24/7 on-demand van service will be available to U.K. Costco members. The self-drive service will operate at all 25 U.K. Costco locations.
The Hertz Corp. has signed an agreement with Costco to bring Hertz 24/7 van rental to Costco's members in the U.K. The self-drive service will operate at all 25 U.K. Costco warehouses.
“Our Hertz 24/7 service enables Costco to provide its members with an attractive and efficient van delivery service,” said Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International. “Hertz takes care of providing and maintaining the fleet and handling all customer transactions, while Costco's members can enjoy the convenience of taking their purchases home straightaway rather than waiting for the goods to be delivered in the future.”
With hourly rentals starting at 13 euros per hour, this price covers insurance, maintenance, road tax and value added tax (VAT). Once Costco members sign up for Hertz 24/7 using an enrollment pack (available from the Costco warehouse or by calling +44 207 365 4199), they can rent a Ford Transit van from the Costco warehouse.
Future rentals can then be booked online or through a smartphone app, says Hertz.
"Our agreement with Hertz 24/7 is another example of our dedication to improving member service, ensuring members can transport their purchases conveniently and at a low price,” said Sue Knowles, Costco's marketing director.
