Hertz 24/7 Expands to Central Florida
Hertz’s partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation brings Hertz 24/7 hourly car rental to Orlando.
In partnership with the Florida Department of Transportation, Hertz has announced that the Central Florida Carshare Program will now be offering Hertz 24/7 in Orlando.
Hertz 24/7 allows customers to rent a variety of vehicles near their home or work, day or night, says Hertz. Residents and visitors can reserve cars online, which can be picked up from one of Hertz's locations throughout the city.
"We're excited that the Florida Department of Transportation and City of Orlando have chosen Hertz 24/7 for its residents," said Scott Sider, group president, Hertz Rent A Car, The Americas. "Hertz's 24/7 hourly rentals are less expensive than other services and provide unmatched vehicle choices and unparalleled customer service. Hertz shares Florida's quest for alternative transportation options and is committed to redefining the industry to create the fastest, easiest and most valued rental experience in the industry ... "
According to Hertz, it is starting the program with 12 vehicles — adhering to the Orlando’s plan to increase the availability of short-term transportation at an affordable cost, to increase the use of public transit and to decrease parking demand in neighborhoods.
Rates will start around $8 an hour depending on the type of vehicle and will include fuel and insurance, says Hertz. For more information, visit www.hertz247.com.
