Hertz Expands UK Network to Support Insurance Replacement Market
Hertz Corp. recently purchased U.K.-based CCL Vehicle Rentals to help expand its presence in the U.K.’s insurance replacement industry.
The Hertz Corp. recently announced that Hertz U.K. Limited continues to expand its U.K. network with the recent acquisition of CCL Vehicle Rentals Ltd. (CCL), an accident management provider headquartered in Dorset, U.K.
Michel Taride, group president of Hertz International, said: "We are fully committed to developing new and expanded partnerships in the car and van insurance replacement market in the U.K., offering customers pickup and delivery services, as well as growing leisure and business rentals. ..."
Since January, Hertz has opened 17 locations in the U.K., including Ashford, Barnstaple, Chatham, Hastings and Newbury. Hertz has plans to continue this expansion in the U.K. with 10 more locations to open in the next two months.
In addition, Hertz says it is opening major hub locations for its CCL business, as well as co-locating with body shops, hotels and repair facilities to serve the needs of local customers.
Neil Cunningham, general manager of U.K. & Europe Off Airport at Hertz U.K. Limited, said: "Hertz and CCL are a powerful combination to meet the needs of insurers and the wider market. By bringing our locations closer to the customer, we hope to support greater choice and bring our comprehensive range of products and exceptional service to the industry and consumer alike."
